November 11, 2013

Wichita, KS – High Touch Technologies is acquiring its downtown Wichita building at 110 South Main Street. The building has served as its corporate headquarters for more than 5 years.

Founded in Wichita in 1984, the employee-owned company moved its headquarters to downtown Wichita in April 2008. The company also has locations in Kansas City, Dallas, Corpus Christi and Denver.

“We are proud to have started in Wichita, and we’re especially pleased to be planning for future growth in Wichita,” said High Touch President and CEO Wayne Chambers. “We explored many options to accommodate current needs and growth plans, and we’re pleased that we could make the purchase of this building and believe this to be the right choice for High Touch. It provides the opportunity to remain and even increase our commitment to Wichita and the downtown area.”

High Touch provides a range of technology solutions to small- and mid-sized companies throughout the United States. The company has 175 employees, including 126 in Wichita with plans for future growth in Wichita.

The company will continue to occupy four floors of the building. The office building has 105,000 square feet with High Touch and current tenants utilizing about 75,000 square feet. High Touch will work with a broker to lease the other 30,000 available.

“We’d like to thank the many people and organizations who helped us explore options and opportunities,” Chambers said. “As a technology company, we are very focused on providing customers technology solutions and not real estate solutions, so we have appreciated everyone’s help.”

High Touch will make a significant investment in the building. “It’s been no secret that we’ve been dealing with a high degree of deferred maintenance and issues with the building,” Chambers said. “Ultimately, providing a better work environment for our employees is a primary focus.”

Chambers says that High Touch has made corporate citizenship a high priority, and employees volunteer for numerous organizations and serve on a variety of local non-profit boards and organizations. “Our employees believe in investing time to make this a great community,” Chambers said. “Being downtown has increased our visibility and presence, and we are really looking forward to being part of the exciting momentum going forward.”
