Wichita, KS – High Touch Technologies today announced it will serve as the naming sponsor for the Prairie Fire Race Series for 2015, taking place in Wichita May 3rd and October 11th, 2015. High Touch is honored to be the naming sponsor the race series alongside presenting sponsor Via Christi Health and other major sponsors Visit Wichita, Fidelity Bank, Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center, First Gear Running Company and KWCH Channel 12.
The Prairie Fire Marathon Race Series brings over 30,000 patrons and 1,650 volunteers to the Wichita area, and an estimated 9,000 runners are projected to participate in this year’s races. Individuals of all ages participate in the events, traveling from 42 states and 5 foreign countries. The High Touch Technologies Marathon Course is known as a fast and flat course. It is certified by USA Track & Field and race times can be used to qualify runners for the famed Boston Marathon.

Formerly the Heart of Wichita Marathon, the Prairie Fire Marathon was first held in 2010 when the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission took ownership of the event from long-time race director, Clark Ensz, and expanded to include a half marathon, 5K and one-mile races creating a true running festival. In 2013 the GWASC expanded again with the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon and 5K.
