Corpus Christi, TX – High Touch Technologies is committed to enriching the community, especially where employees live. High Touch gives special consideration to organizations which employees are involved in. With the initiative of Art Norman, Senior Software Developer, and longtime employee, High Touch has become involved with the Corpus Christi Adopt-a-Park program. High Touch began sponsoring the clean-up of Oso Creek Park in July of 2011.

Norman loves to mountain bike. When he moved to Corpus Christi and couldn’t find a great place to bike, he wanted to help create one. When Norman discovered Oso Creek Park he quickly became passionate about reviving it. Norman said, “This 200 acre park has changed significantly since the beginning.Art Norman Oso Creek Park I am proud to be a part of a company that will get involved in the community and I hope the community continues the care of the park so we can all enjoy our favorite outdoor activities.”

Ellison Crider, Director of Sales, says, “Art’s involvement in the Adopt-a-Park project and High Touch’s sponsorship of Oso Creek Park has resulted in great publicity for the company in Corpus Christi. Not only is he leading the effort to upgrade and update this park – the city’s largest – but he has involved several of our local employees in the effort. Corpus Christi is being made a better place as a result of Art’s leadership.”

Over the past two and a half years High Touch employees have collectively donated hundreds of hours to help clean or develop new trails within the park. Norman served a two-year term on the Parks and Recreation advisory committee and volunteers monthly to help preserve the park and hard work that has gone into the park thus far. High Touch plans to continue this on-going commitment of supporting Oso Creek Park through the Adopt-a-Park program with in-kind and cash sponsorships.

Recently Oso Creek Park was featured in an episode of “What’s Really Happening in Corpus Christi” which aired on Public Access Television on Monday January 27.
