Helping Support Envision Wichita
Andover, Kan.—(May 11, 2023)—High Touch Technologies is proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2023 Envision Wichita Golf Fore Vision Tournament hosted at Terradyne Country Club.
For an impressive 28 years, Envision has been hosting the annual Golf Fore Vision Tournament to raise money to help fuel its mission. The proceeds from the tournament are used to benefit Envision’s programs that provide unique opportunities and services for people who are blind and visually impaired.
The tournament is more than just a golf fundraiser—it’s a celebration of unity, compassion, and unwavering support for the local community. With gratitude, we look back on this remarkable endeavor, where golfers, sponsors, and volunteers alike demonstrated their steadfast dedication to Envision’s mission. It was an honor to be part of an event that showcased the incredible impact that can be achieved when we combine our passions and work toward a common goal.
Teeing Off for a Purpose
As Presenting Sponsor, High Touch President and CEO Derrick Nielsen helped tee off the event with opening remarks. In his speech, Derrick expressed his gratitude for the community’s support and highlighted the significant impact Envision has on the lives of those it serves.
Opening Remarks
“It is amazing to see so many faces out here and to hear the list of sponsors. It’s a testament to Envision and the impact it has on the community.
I just want to say, for those of you that are familiar faces I’ve seen year after year here, thank you for coming again and sponsoring Envision. For those of you, and I chatted with a couple of people along the way that are new to Envision, take the extended play time today to learn a little bit more about Envision. It is an unbelievably impactful organization we should all be incredibly grateful and proud to have in our community.
The number of people impacted by blindness or visual impairment is—it’s amazing the number of people over the course of their lifetime…one of our directors just reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, I need Michael’s cell phone number because my wife is just becoming a patient at Envision and receiving services, and I want to reach out and say how impactful it’s been to us.’
What Envision does, from basic research to rehabilitation to occupational therapy to employment, going from margin to mission, is amazing. And, I won’t keep you longer by trying to explain it from up here. Talk to the people you’re golfing with and know Envision. Ask them why they come out year after year—ask them why they’re on that list of sponsors, and you’re going to hear a fantastic story about a great organization I think we should all be proud to support.”
