Yesterday, the Wichita Business Journal (WBJ) published an article that discussed a roundtable planning conversation for tech employers hosted by High Touch Technologies and the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas.
Area technology leaders from High Touch, NetApp, AgVantis, Inc., Smash Dev Shop, Flint Hills Group, Wichita State University, and more met to discuss the challenges in recruiting and retaining talent to Wichita.
“While the discussion was designed to be a brainstorming session, Chambers said members of the panel were handpicked because he views them as action-oriented people. Chambers said the plan is for the group to meet again in a few weeks.”
“’This room is full of people who have a bias toward action,’ Chambers said to close out the discussion. ‘If we’re willing to talk, let’s be willing to take action. That’s my challenge.’”
