Sharing Insights Into Cybersecurity Careers
Wichita, Kan. — (July 9, 2024) — At High Touch Technologies, we believe in bringing the human touch to technology and giving back to the communities that help support us. Recently, we had the privilege of fulfilling this mission by helping guide the next generation toward successful futures, particularly in the fields of technology and cybersecurity.
Through our partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas as part of their Club2Career program, we were excited to provide high school students with an inspiring glimpse into the world of cybersecurity and technology.

Club2Career Program
The Club2Career program, hosted by the Opportunity Drive Club, is designed for high school students from sophomore to senior year. According to BGCSCK, the program offers nearly 20 career exposures, giving members hands-on experiences that help prepare them for their futures—it’s a crucial initiative in helping students explore different career paths available in Wichita, providing them with valuable insights and practical skills.
High Touch Technologies’ Involvement
As a proud sponsor of the 2024 Club2Career program, High Touch Technologies hosted a group of enthusiastic high school students at our headquarters in downtown Wichita. Our goal was to share insights into the world of cybersecurity, its importance in our digital age, and the potential career paths available for those interested in technology and cybersecurity.
Jason Fenoglio, our Director of Information Security, took the stage to educate the students on all aspects of cybersecurity. During his presentation, Jason emphasized the critical role cybersecurity plays in today’s society and the students’ everyday lives. He highlighted the importance of strong, unique passwords and provided essential tips on protecting their online identities.
The Importance of Cybersecurity
In a world where everyone is constantly online, understanding cybersecurity is more important than ever. Students will use usernames and passwords for everything they do, from social media to online banking. Understanding how to protect your personal information and stay safe online is a critical part of technology education. Jason’s presentation underscored these points, helping students recognize the value of cybersecurity knowledge in their daily lives.
Career Opportunities in Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is not only a vital field but also an exciting and lucrative career path for those interested in technology. Jason took the opportunity to highlight various roles within cybersecurity, inspiring the students to consider them as future career options. From Cybersecurity Analyst and Engineer to Security Consultant, Incident Responder, and Ethical Hacker, the diverse range of careers in cybersecurity provided an exciting glimpse into the possibilities that lie ahead.
