Recently, our team had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Envision Level Up Progam. This remarkable annual event unites high school students from across the U.S. who are blind or visually impaired, providing them with a unique opportunity to bridge the learning gap and gain essential skills for their academic and professional development journey.
What Is the Envision Level Up Program?
The Envision Level Up Program is an annual initiative that offers ongoing support and resources to students who are blind or visually impaired, helping them set and achieve their goals. Guided by dedicated instructors, including teachers, community professionals, and professors, students engage in diverse training sessions covering:
- Assistive technology
- Money management
- Cybersecurity
- STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)
- Career planning
By emphasizing technology as part of the program, Level Up helps ensure that students gain practical skills that help them be successful in today’s digital landscape.
Level Up College and Career Expo
A highlight of the Level Up Program is the college and career expo—this event allows students to apply their newly acquired skills by interacting with representatives from leading companies and higher education institutions.
We were honored to have a talented team representing High Touch at this year’s expo, including Kevin Colborn (Senior Vice President of Network Operations and CIO), Nici Duncan (Vice President of HR), and Meagan Perrymore (HR Generalist). Our team had the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, insights, and experiences with the program’s attendees, underscoring our commitment to our mission.
