Our mission is to provide the best technology, products, and service to exceed our clients’ expectations, offer meaningful and rewarding careers for our employees, and enrich our community, every day.
2018 was a great year for High Touch in achieving this mission. From being recognized for our award-winning services, to building a brilliant, robust leadership team and refreshed brand, we’ve set the bar high for what we aim to accomplish in 2019.
Microsoft P-Seller Status
High Touch’s Partnership Seller (P-Seller) designation stems from its 20-plus-year relationship with Microsoft. This extensive history underscores High Touch’s technical expertise with Microsoft products. Achieving this status is a significant accomplishment, and maintaining P-Seller status requires a strong commitment to knowledge, innovation, customer service, and dependability. High Touch must uphold and improve its technical, engagement, and sales skills for Microsoft to continue the P-Seller partnership.
Microsoft only awards its exclusive P-Seller status to uniquely qualified partners who exhibit expert Microsoft product and service knowledge, ideals, and skills. Handpicked by Microsoft, High Touch is one of the company’s top-tier service providers. According to Microsoft Business Development Manager Regina Tolbert, “High Touch Technologies is turning out to be one of our uniquely qualified partners in this area. High Touch has a strong history of delivering traditional solutions in this (region), and we think they’re a partner that has moved forward to grasp the cloud solutions opportunities.”
Building a Leading Team
Our successes in 2018 would’ve been difficult without the leadership skills of a talented executive team.
At the beginning of the year, High Touch reorganized the executive team to better represent how the company can better accomplish its business goals and engineer a better client experience. This included promoting Jason Mock to Senior Vice President of Software Solutions, Kevin Colborn to Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions, and Tracy Lucas to Vice President of Administration.
2018 also brought two new additions to High Touch’s executive team. In March, Amy Mounts was named High Touch’s Vice President of Sales. In June, Jana Davis was named the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.
ASI, Inc. Acquisition
In early 2018, High Touch acquired Associates Solutions, Inc. (ASI), a Lenexa-based technology company serving clients nationwide with a wide-ranging suite of products including Microsoft ERP software (Dynamics, GP, SL, CRM, SQL, Azure, and SharePoint) and Australia-based ERP Acumatica. ASI’s capabilities further enhanced High Touch’s current services. According to High Touch CEO Wayne Chambers, “ASI brought over twenty years of experience in ERP and IT solutions, which we knew our High Touch customers had a need for. Our goal is to enhance the customer experience and bring them solutions they need to do business. ASI was a perfect partner to help us do that.”
Through the acquisition, High Touch retained all of ASI’s staff, including its former owners. The ASI acquisition added nearly 250 U.S.-based clients to High Touch’s portfolio and significantly expanded the quality of the company’s software solutions and Kansas City-area support.
CRN Solution Provider 500
In 2018, CRN awarded High Touch Technologies a spot on its Solution Provider 500 list. The Solution Provider 500 is CRN’s annual ranking of the largest technology integrators, solution providers, and IT consultants in North America by revenue. For 2018, High Touch climbed to its highest ranking yet, #408.
“CRN’s Solution Provider 500 list spotlights the North American IT channel partner organizations that have earned the highest revenue over the past year, providing a valuable resource to vendors looking for top solution providers to partner with,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “The companies on this year’s list represent an incredible, combined revenue of $320 billion, a sum that attests to their success in staying ahead of rapidly changing market demands.”
In May 2018, High Touch underwent an exciting brand refresh visually and strategically. Working with digital and brand strategy agency Lifeboat Creative, High Touch crafted a new customer experience that symbolizes the company’s key values and services.
The refreshed website and newly organized service and solution portfolio incorporate the vision of “One High Touch,” a strategy of offering complete technology solutions, rather than individual services. In recent years, High Touch has grown steadily through acquisitions. This led to a long list of products and services that could be difficult to navigate, especially for potential clients that were unfamiliar with the High Touch brand. Under the “One High Touch” vision, the company can easily communicate all aspects of its products and services from customer support to sales and marketing.
Visually, a new logo, font, color palette, and website modernized the company’s face, while still representing the company’s 30-plus-year history. In fact, High Touch’s new logo is a throwback to an older generation logo, which used hands holding a globe to demonstrate High Touch’s customer-centric, worldwide vision.
