From Youth Entrepreneur to Marketing Specialist
Bailey’s journey in marketing started back in high school. “I had the opportunity to compete in a regional business plan competition through Youth Entrepreneurs,” Bailey reminisces. “My business plan was as a marketing contractor, emphasizing the power of social media marketing.”
It was during college that Bailey’s career path took a definitive turn. A summer internship at High Touch, initially focused on fundraising events, blossomed into a broader role within the company’s marketing department. “That’s where I discovered my love for event planning, a perfect fusion of my passion for marketing and creating memorable experiences,” Bailey recalls.
Now, Bailey notes, it’s the people aspect of her job that she finds most fulfilling. “Making connections and discovering innovative ways to bring individuals together is what I absolutely love,” she says. This people-first approach is central to our mission at High Touch Technologies, underscoring our commitment to technology and the human connections it fosters.
Mentorship and Inspiration
In her conversation with the WBJ, Bailey credits her boss and mentor, Tara Shaffer, for her immense growth and development. “Having another strong woman and leader in marketing to look up to has been wonderful,” Bailey shares. This mentor-mentee relationship highlights the importance of guidance and inspiration in professional growth, especially in dynamic fields like technology and marketing.
Advice for Aspiring Marketers
Bailey’s advice to women entering the marketing and communications field is clear: embrace networking and building relationships. “I believe that embracing collaboration not only fosters a sense of community but also provides opportunities for mutual learning and growth,” she advises.
