Wichita’s Young Technology Leaders
Wichita, Kan — (May 20, 2022) — Andrew Kon, Regional Director of Technology Solutions at High Touch Technologies, has been recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as part of the publication’s Young Professionals in Technology series.
In its inaugural run, the Young Professionals series “spotlights up-and-coming professionals ages 25-40.” These professionals have been nominated by a peer, mentor, or leader as someone who represents the next generation of city and community leaders.
Profile: Andrew Kon
As Regional Director of Technology Solutions, Andrew leads High Touch’s north market Engineering team, covering Kansas City, Denver, and Wichita.
“Our mission at High Touch is bringing the human touch to technology,” states Andrew. “What that means for me is helping clients understand how they can better use technology to meet their strategic business initiatives. As a team, we resolve customer issues, which usually means providing a short-term solution that fixes the problem or a long-term solution that addresses the root causes of the problem.”
Andrew began his technology career working at Best Buy. Eventually, he went on to earn degrees in cybersecurity and business IT management. He also held several roles at ISG before joining the High Touch team in 2020.
What’s his advice for other professionals building a career in technology? “When you’re getting started in IT, everything feels like an emergency,” states Andrew. “You’re never going to be able to fix everything. You need to take the time to understand what’s important, which includes taking time for yourself.”
