Celebrating Leadership, Opportunity, and Community Impact
Wichita, Kan. — (January 22, 2026) — The 2026 Youth of the Year Luncheon brought together business leaders, nonprofit partners, and community advocates in Wichita for a powerful purpose: celebrating young people who are shaping the future through leadership, service, and resilience.
Hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas, this annual event highlights exceptional teens who exemplify academic excellence, strong character, and a commitment to giving back.
High Touch Technologies was proud to serve as a sponsor of this year’s luncheon. For us, this event aligns naturally with who we are, not just as a technology company, but as a long-standing community partner invested in people, progress, and long-term impact.
About the Youth of the Year Program
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, honoring club members who demonstrate leadership, service, academic achievement, and healthy lifestyles.
Each year, teens ages 14–18 advance through local, state, and regional competitions, ultimately leading to a national celebration in Washington, D.C. Along the way, participants share their stories, aspirations, and commitment to making a positive difference in their communities.
The program doesn’t just recognize achievement—it invests in it.
At the 2026 Youth of the Year Luncheon, attendees celebrated Marley Powell-McClellon, who was named the 2026 Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas.
Events like this reinforce the vital role Boys and Girls Clubs play in creating pathways to success and why continued community support matters.
