Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 information security audit provides a report on the examination of controls relevant to the trust services criteria categories covering security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. A SOC 2 Type II report describes a service organization’s systems, whether the design of specified controls meets the relevant trust services categories, and whether the controls were operating effectively, spanning an agreed-upon review period.
High Touch’s SOC 2 Type II report did not have any noted exceptions and was therefore issued with a clean audit opinion from Sensiba.

What Is SOC 2 Type II?
A SOC 2 Type II certification isn’t just a technical accreditation—it’s a commitment to data protection, security, and responsibility as your technology partner. There are two types of SOC 2 certifications, Type I and Type II:
- SOC 2 Type 1. This report evaluates a company’s security controls at a specific point in time, assessing whether the controls are designed appropriately to meet specified criteria. High Touch earned a SOC 2 Type 1 certification in 2023.
- SOC 2 Type II. This report takes the SOC 2 certification a step further—not only does it evaluate the design of controls but also their effectiveness over a specified period, typically a minimum of six months. Type II reports provide more valuable information because they demonstrate not just the existence of controls but also their operational effectiveness.
